Garden of Edo - Story:
In a society where outsiders are banned and women are treated as second-class citizens, Japan is thrown into an uproar when the current emperor decides to break all the rules and proposes an engagement between his eldest daughter and the eldest prince of China.
Unhappy with the turn of events, many of the shogun's daimyo begin rebelling. While most make their displeasure known publicly, others decide to take matters into their own hands to send the message that outsiders are not welcome.
Between the political unrest and open hatred of foreigners, one boy struggles to survive against the odds. Only half Japanese, Locke quickly finds that hiding his British half—his blonde hair—becomes increasingly important to his survival as a series of unfortunate events lands him in the center of it all: Edo.
